3/2
This was Finals week, and we saw Hawks v Smoke and KSFC v VBFC in the semi's.  Hawks and Smoke played out and extremely close 4 - 3 game with Hawks moving onto the Final and KSFC continued their invincible performance winning 10 - 0 against VB FC.  The final played out 5 - 1 in favour of KS FC with an aggressive performance.
Thanks to the Pony's and Urban for putting on a show - nice...
See You Next Comp later this year... Out...

27/1
This was the last week of the round robin stages and next week will be the finals, so everyone look at the fixtures as 2 teams may be playing twice.
Hawks beat and understrength Pony's 7 - 3, and Smoke Held VB FC to a 4 all draw after a late goal surge by VB FC.
MVP: Nick Kocon, Shane Triton, Raymond Doson (3,2,1).
Finals see KS FC take on VB FC and Hawks v Smoke first up.  We will also see an Exhibition match between Urban and Pony's

20/1
I hope everyonone enjoyed the month break.  After all that it turns out the jets have their a final at Marathon so can teams please let me know with their plans on Sunday.
This week began with Hawks schooling Urban, nothin new, 10 - 3.  KS FC and VB FC played out a 4 - 1 game, the fastest i've seen to date, KS FC coming out late winners.  Game of the Week though was Smoke v Pony's in a 7 - 5 thriller, which saw 12 goals in a screamer and Smoke ending the Dancing Pony's 5 game streak!
MVP points went 3, 2, 1, Adam Lindsay, Matt Lindsay, Anthony Kocon.

16/12 - Enjoy Your 4 Week Break
This week saw some fantastic football, great footwork and even better goals.
The day began with the Kotara South boys coming out 6 - 2 victors over a make-shift Smoke, which was an injustice to how close the game was.  We then saw unlikely winners VB FC defeat Hawks FC, 4 - 3. With recent poor form from VB FC they took all 3 points from an "under the weather" Hawks outfit. Scremer of a gaol to take the win!  Finally we saw Urban FC get schooled by the Pony's. They sure had much to dance about with a 9 - 1 hiding, with Micheal Drysdale again a stand out baging 6 gaols.
Team of the Week is; Michael Drysdale, Adam Lindasy, Justin Dalley, Peter Jones and Nick Soldas.
MVP - M. Drysdale 3, Adam Lindasy 2, Justin Dalley 1.
(all 2nd week in a row!)

9/12
Everyone forgot to take thier happy pills this week.  Maybe because of the closing stages of the comp, i dont know.  Either way - it went like this.  Urban FC copped a hiding from Smoke, going down 13 - 3.  Top of the table clash saw KS FC come out eventual winners over Hawks, a great game which was ruined with antics toward the end.  VB FC saw Pony's run away winners 5 - 2 which saw more fight than flare, which again, is uncalled for. On a more brighter note, a personal mention to Rui Andrade from the Hawks, who played outstandingly in goals - rushing out to cut down more than one 1 on 1's.
Team of the Week; Micheal Drysdale, Adam Linsday, Wade Kelly, Rui Andrade and Justin Dalley.
Everyone please take time this week to read the rules, as i dont need any more drama when i issue you with a yellow and/or send you off.
(is that as nice as i can put it????)

2/12
First game this week saw Smoke take on Hawks.  Hawks ran away winners 11 -2 with a solid performance by the Hawks.  The Second game saw VB FC take on Urban FC.  Early 2-0 leaders, it was Urban FC's game to lose, with VB FC putting three into the net within a matter of minutes to seal the game 3 - 2 with 2 minutes to go.  The final game saw the "impregnable" KS FC go head to head with the Dancing Pony's.  Never in doubt KS FC won 9 -1 with Justin Dalley from the Pony's taking a haul of 17 saves in 28 minutes.  Nice to see James Hopson get a run, though a physical waste of space up front.  Team of the Week. Nathan Castle, Chris Wlodarczyk, Shane Triton, Nick Horan, Josh Webster. MVP accolades 3, 2, 1 - Nick Horan, Nathan Castle, Josh Webster.

25/11
Street Soccer Team of the week was, Michael Drysdale, Matt Lindsay, Wade Kelly, Peter Jones and Luke Withers.  MVP points went 3, 2, 1 - Michael Drysdale, Wade Kelly, Matt Lindsay.

18/11
Okay, So we have reached the end of the fourth week and we pretty much have a glimpse of the contenders.  KS FC are the Powerhouse to date, undefeated and always looking solid.  VB FC and Hawks are their closest rivals with their strengths being flexibilty and power respectively.  Up In Smoke should be considered the "Crouching Tiger" of the competition - although a bad start, have finally shown a quality performance.  Dancing Pony's and Urban should not be ruled out - although somewhat overwhelmed - have proven to be efficient when underestimated.
Team of the Week is up and all who made it, have so because of a stellar performance.
(P.S - Can someone tell my why Rui is always so happy???)

12/11
This week closes the 3rd round of games and the competition is starting to spread out.
The Hawks FC have had an early season transfer with the implementation of "Brodie".  The dude is a freak! Hawks overcoming VB FC 8 -5, Congrats to both Rui and Brodie making Team of the Week.
Up In Smoke came in on the back an all nighter and were shown the finer points of a good night sleep with the Kotara Boys handing down an 11 - 0 Thrashing.  Timmy Horan, making team of the week every week, made MVP - most deserved
The Urban boys put up a fight against the Pony's, however, the Pony's ran away with it toward the end coming out victors 8 - 3.  congrats, to Micheal Drysdale and Natasha Scott for making team of the week !

29/10
Well I hope everyone enjoyed the first round! Statistics are up, and they are as close to perfect as I could get them.  I still had trouble matching names to players, especially the new guys, and if their is any mistakes, please let me know.
Two major issues I have to address.  The prize money now stands at $700 with the introduction of a new team this Sunday.  This now means that there is no longer a bye - and the draw has changed so update your teams on this please!

21/10
Season points will begin next week with the full draw and conclusion of this season to finish January 27th, which includes a 3 week break over Christmas and the New year.
I have already allocated MVP points and the SS team of the week for this round of games as it is only fair to those who played so well.
There are a few minor technical issues and kinks I have to work out with the rules - like the "back pass", Keeper throwing length and Goal Kick rules, however they shall be updated (with the rules) within the next day or two.

Update:-
Goal Kicks are Thrown Out by the Goalkeeper.

The Goalkeeper can NOT throw the ball directly over the halfway-line without it first touching his own side of the pitch or any player.

If the Goalkeeper touches with any part of his body a back pass that has been played back to him before the ball has (1) crossed the halfway-line or (2) been touched by an opponent, adn Indirect Free Kick will be awarded.
